Aqua Marina Monster: main characteristics
The Aqua Marina Monster is characterised by a number of important properties. With a length of 365 cm and a maximum load capacity of 160 kg, stability is no problem at all. Do you want to enjoy a relaxing ride with your dog or child? The Aqua Marina Monster SUP is extremely suitable for such activities.
Please note: We do not recommend using the board with two adults, always bear in mind the maximum load capacity.
This model is best suited for touring activities, but you certainly don't have to avoid the slightly wilder waters. It is certainly a nice entry-level model for the beginners among us.
With this board, the focus is mainly on stability and somewhat less on speed in the water. Do you want to brave higher waves and easily reach speed? Take a look at the sporty models.

Drop stitch technology
The Monster SUP is equipped with the so called drop stitch technique, indispensable for a inflatable SUP board. This technology ensures that the board reaches and maintains its full hardness after inflation. Amazing, since you can easily fold the board in the standard supplied backpack after use.
This technique in combination with the thickness of 15 cm & length of 365 cm, stability cannot be avoided. Waves and other rough movements will be strongly slowed down by these properties. We almost always advise beginning SUPers to look at the Aqua Marina Monster SUP board.
Inflate the Aqua Marina Monster SUP
The Aqua Marina Monster is inflatable, but you probably already noticed that. This technology has developed tremendously over the past few years and now has only advantages. In many areas, it is now difficult to distinguish a hard board from an inflatable model:
- Technology is highly developed in a positive sense
- Many times cheaper than a high-quality hard board
- Most models are very versatile
- Easy to transport
- Easy to store
The only disadvantage of the Aqua Marina Monster being inflatable is its speed. Are you an advanced or professional surfer? Then you will quickly need to go faster. Then choose an inflatable model that is especially aimed at challenge and speed. View racing SUP boards here.
What do you get from the Aqua Marina Monster set?
At Watersports4fun the Monster SUP board is delivered in a complete set, so you can be sure that you have all the necessary equipment and can get on the water right away. Below a list of the contents of the set:

You will receive it red-black Monster Board. In addition to the board, you will also receive a mountable fin. Please note: Do not mount the fin until the board is inflated.
1x Paddle
Moving around in the water is no problem for the standard Aqua Marina Sports III Paddle.
This three-part aluminium model is easily and quickly adjustable in height and can therefore be used with any user. Just like the new look of the Monster, the paddle has also been given a new look. With a sleek design, this model matches the board very well.
The only disadvantage we can find with this aluminium model is the weight of 1.1 kgThis is relatively heavy. To a large extent, this is due to the aluminium. For a lighter version, it is recommended to choose a model made of glass fibre or carbon.
1x Ankle cord
Safety has also been considered; you will receive the Aqua Marina anklet as standard. Do not expect too much from it, it is a standard cord. that does what it is supposed to do.
The experienced suppers will find some points of improvement but for the beginner this model is very suitable.
1x High pressure pump
The inflatable Aqua Marina Monster SUP can be inflated with the standard Double Action pump. This model is very basic and does again what it needs to do. The Monster has a maximum pressure of 15 PSIThis can be read exactly from the pressure gauge.
On average, it takes 7 to 10 minutes to fully inflate the board. Relatively fast, thanks in part to the Double Action Technology.
You pump in twice as much air. 15 PSI almost there? Finish the job with the Single Action function to reach the desired PSI.
1x Backpack
Of course, you also need to be able to transport the relatively large Monster SUP easily. With the standard supplied backpack in size L you can take your board everywhere with you. The backpack has the following dimensions: 94 x 46 x 27 cm.
In addition to a new look, the functionalities have been greatly improved in comparison to the previous version:

Is the Aqua Marina Monster SUP the best choice for me?
Not sure yet if the Monster SUP from Aqua Marina is the right one for you? Why not choose the Magma or Fusion? Usually, visitors hesitate the most between these three models, which is not surprising as they are in the same price range. However, they do have some important differences.
As previously described, the SUP board Aqua Marina Monster a real all round modelIt is ideal for long tours. The focus of this board is stability. The Monster is one of our best-selling models, just like the Fusion.
Do you need the length and width of the Aqua Marina Monster?
It is good to know that the Monster and the Fusion have been available on the market for some time, so they are improved every year. We are more familiar with both models and have noticed improvements over the years.
The biggest difference between the two models is in the length, as the Fusion is 35 cm shorter and 8 cm less wide. These smaller dimensions result in a lower sales price.
Go for a sportier challenge
Length or width not the problem in your choice but you simply want more challenge? Put the Monster aside and take a look at the Magma. On the market since 2016 and equipped with a number of sporty features.
With this lighter model, you are guaranteed more speed, and the kick pad for a slight elevation of the board makes your ride more intense. The Magma does make it harder to maintain stability. We often recommend this board to advanced surfers.

How long does it take to inflate a Monster SUP?
Inflating the board takes about 7 to 10 minutes, depending on the force used. Use the standard high-pressure pump supplied for inflation.
How long does it take to drain the Monster?
Completely deflating the board takes about 3 to 6 minutes. Apply pressure to the board to make the air disappear. Be careful not to be too rough, as this can cause small cracks that shorten the lifespan.
Can I adjust the height of the paddle supplied?
The Sports III paddle is adjustable to three heights.
Is the Aqua Marina SPK-4 the same model?
The Aqua Marina SPK-4 is the predecessor of the Monster. In addition to a new name, the design was also tackled. After a number of substantial developments, the Monster was proudly presented in 2016.
How many fins does the Marina Monster have?
This model is equipped with one fin, which is placed at the bottom of the board.
