MasterShunt is the heart of any battery powered energy system. This integrated battery monitor shares battery bank information with other MasterBus, CZone or NMEA 2000 enabled devices such as battery chargers, inverters/chargers and displays. With MasterShunt you avoid surprises, improve comfort and extend the life of your batteries and the operating time of your system. The MasterShunt 500 CZone provides all the information needed for battery bank monitoring and system management, such as voltage, current, state of charge and time remaining. With just one MasterBus or CZone cable all information is available for your energy system. By accurately measuring current and state of charge, the MasterShunt can precisely determine the time remaining. Programmable events and an integrated clock allow you to fully automate your system. Examples include automatic starting of your generator when the batteries are almost empty (or delaying this at night), but also automatic warning at a certain depth of discharge. The proven MasterShunt design has been improved to achieve an even higher level of accuracy and control. For example, the MasterShunt now also takes into account the characteristics of the connected battery. The MasterShunt 500 CZone offers freedom in the choice of fuse type, fuse rating and location. The battery monitor is supplied with an internal busbar, useful when an external fuse holder is chosen. If the MasterShunt is installed near the battery, the busbar can be replaced by an ANL or Class T main fuse, saving space and costs. Features
