Design and use on board

The contoured design pushes the boom 8 inches (20.32 cm) behind the pylon. This makes it suitable for boats where the window extends beyond the pylon or where a tower bracket might be in the way. Mounting is done on a factory-installed pylon; the quick-release mechanism allows you to secure and release the boom in a few simple steps. Two braided steel cables to the bow help provide lateral stability.
